Take the Elective Reader Survey!

As the College Board's digital education magazine is evolving—and it needs your help

When The Elective launched in March 2020, the College Board's digital education magazine aimed to focus on higher-education pathways—be they four-year universities, community college, or vocational programs—while creating "a space for open, lively, and honest discussion about the issues, opportunities, challenges, quirks, and cultural footprint of education."

A lot has changed in the last two-and-a-half years, and The Elective has tried to change with it. Our original mission has evolved to include a solutions-oriented framework, for example, allowing us to engage with education, civics, and culture with a spirit of curiosity, pragmatism, and hope. And we’ve gone all-in on conversations with leaders, educators, and students sharing their stories, struggles, and successes to expand our understanding of the education landscape, and what’s possible in that space.

We have big plans for The Elective. But as we look toward the future and what this publication can—and should—be, we need your input and feedback. Click the image below to take the Elective Reader Survey. It should only take a few minutes, and we appreciate your time and support. (If you would like to add any comments beyond what's asked here, don't hesitate to email us at [email protected].)

Thank you for taking the time to share your views with us!
